Editing My Name is John - Scene 4

I have been editing My Name is John on and off for a while now and the film has had some major and minor changes over these couple of these weeks, so over these next blogs im going to be showing each scene discussing thing that were wrong with the scenes how i fixed them and what plans i have for the future of the this Film. Unfortunately the Exports dont have sound so i will just be talking about visual cuts and what i plan to do with sound.

Scene 4 -
There is not really much to talk about scene 4 as it really hasn't changed and i dont see it changing much in the future, the scene itself is only one shot and is only around 15 seconds long. I did have two options when it came to editing though as there was a different shot from the one i used where it was much more wider, though i decided to go with the closer up shot as it just felt better for the scene itself. I also had a cut away of john opening the brief case but i really couldn't find where i could put this as not only did it break the 180rule it also was just not needed for the scene.

An example of how the wider shot looked.

The cutaway shot of the brief case being opened.
The First Draft

The second draft this draft is 2 seconds shorter this was just to make the scene run more smoother.
