Scene 6 -
Scene 6 is arguably the biggest scene, so i will talk you through the scene, we start of with a establishing shot of where we are, i dont really like this shot one because i dont think the quick pan up works and secondly because im not really the biggest fan of establishing shots to begin with, so dont be surprised if this shot isn't in the final film. We then get a shot of the audience walking in and sitting down this shot does go of for a bit so might end up getting cut down, i might just turn it into a cut away of the audience sitting down. We then go to the pre-show interview with john, there is not really much i want to change about this shot i think it works great, and there isn't another angle of this shot so theirs no reason to change it. We then get onto the stage shot this is really where i had wanted to do my montage of the show going on and the audience enjoying it more and more, but as i have discussed i didn't get what i really wanted from john so it wasn't really possible, so instead i have john coming out and doing his one magic trick and then saying his joke, before cutting away to an audience member yawning. I decided to use the wide of john doing his stage show as the close up we had of the shot focuses two much on the brief case at the beginning. In the second draft the yawn shot is shortened down to get to the joke of the yawn quicker. The final shot in this scene has john coming of stage, in the future i am hoping to get an applause to go over this scene that i can put in the background as he walks off as the one i recorded on set just doesn't sound right. We had two takes of this scene one where the camera moves when the bowling ball is dropped and another where it doesn't, i decided to go with the one where the camera moves, my director also wants a ouch to happen when the bowling ball is dropped so i will probably record this the same time i get the applause.
Shots from the close up we got for the stage shot and my example of how it focuses to much on the brief case.
Some shots of audience cut aways i was going to use, and the angle we got of john doing some improve(though unfortunately this wasn't something i could use as there was no reasoning to it he was just saying cards out loud, maybe it might work with music in the background, but at this point i feel like it would just be a drag on the film as this wouldn't be a funny as i was imagining in my head
